Privacy Policy

Breakly ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding your data.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive an anonymized Apple user identifier and your email address (if you choose to share it). We do not receive your full name or any other personal identifiers.

App preferences. We store your app settings (default green speed, color palette, onboarding completion status) in our backend so your preferences sync across your Apple devices.

Sensor data. The app reads accelerometer data via Apple's CoreMotion API to measure slope angles on golf greens. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. We do not store sensor readings.

Subscription status. Breakly Premium is an auto-renewable subscription handled through Apple. Your subscription status (active, trial, expiration date, product identifier) is determined by Apple and managed on your device through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We never receive or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID password.

Usage analytics. We do not currently collect usage analytics or crash reports. If this changes, we will update this policy and notify users.

How we use your information

To provide core app functionality (aim calculation, slope reading, visualization)

To verify and maintain your subscription status
To respond to your support requests and feedback

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

Apple Sign In with Apple, for authentication. Apple Privacy Policy
Apple StoreKit, for subscriptions and payment processing. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple.

We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, court order, or legal process.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time by emailing us at the address below. Upon deletion, we remove your data from our active databases within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Swedish Dataskyddsförordningen, and similar privacy laws, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent for data processing
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten in Sweden)

Children's privacy

Breakly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

International data transfers

Your data is stored in the EU (Stockholm, Sweden). If you use the app outside the EU, your data may be transferred to the EU for processing. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and provides appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the app and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
